Perfectly Posh Giveaway

I recently tried a new face wash and moisturizer that I'm in love with!!! My skin feels a-maz-ing.  The face wash is a gentle and natural face wash. Free of dyes. Fragranced only with deep cleansing peppermint essential oil. It also gently massages with finely ground Persian walnut shells.

The moisturizer is light, refreshing and smells great. It gives your skin gets a blast of natural glycerin moisture with a kick of caffeine for added tightening and brightening.

These products are from a local Utah company called "Perfectly Posh". I loved these products and many others from Perfectly Posh so much, that I asked Megan Park (my Perfectly Posh consultant) if she would do a giveaway.

Hey! My name is Megan Park, and I am Sarah's Perfectly Posh Independent Consultant. I am thrilled that Sarah asked me to talk to you all about Perfectly Posh!

As a teenager, I had great skin. Honestly, I kept waiting for the dreaded acne that seemed to be a right of passage into adulthood...but it never came. Fast forward to my 20s when I was pregnant with my first child--my skin suddenly and completely freaked out. I tried every product that was recommended to me (and then some!) and while few made it worse, NONE made it better. I was resigned to forever having skin that was just "okay". Fast forward (again) 8 years when my friend suggested I try Perfectly Posh. Somewhat reluctantly, I did. I was amazed! In just one short week of using Complexion Perfection mildly exfoliating peppermint face wash and Moisturize 911 orange-scented, caffeinated face moisturizer, my skin was completely clear and my "laugh lines" around my eyes and "worry lines" on my forehead were drastically minimized. Best of all, the redness on my cheeks that never seemed to fade, even with makeup coverage, was gone. I was so completely and utterly in love with my new and improved look that I signed on as a Perfectly Posh Independent Consultant two weeks later.

So what made the difference?

Perfectly Posh products are naturally based skin and hair care products that are free of sulfates, lanolin, paraffins, parabens, and soy and gluten fillers. They DO NOT contain any petroleum by-products! We also offer more than 50 wonderfully smelling Vegan products. Perfectly Posh is made and packaged completely in the USA, and all of the product packaging is recyclable. Perfectly Posh products are fragranced with essential oils and are fantastic for even the most sensitive skin.

Let me help you get rid of those chemicals with a full size A Peel to Me Body Scrub and a goodie bag of samples of some of our other AMAZING Perfectly Posh products! (GIVEAWAY!!!!!)

Finished Grey and White Nursery

To finalize the nursery, I had my client pick out a new light fixture. She wanted to give the nursery a more modern feel and went with this light fixture from Ikea.

Next we went with a fun rocking chair, ottoman, and side table.

I love the Grey Pouf!! It adds a great texture to the space and is very kid friendly. The Blue Accent Table adds just the right pop of color. The Grey and White Gingham pillow softens the Rocking Chair and is from Ikea, as well as the Tree and Woven Basket.
For additional lighting we picked out the Fisherman's Lamp. This darling lamp also has a switch that you turn on by pressing it with your foot, very convenient if your arms are full .

Some additional accessories to add to the Elephant theme around the room include this darling Elephant Rocker....

and last but not least my inspiration, a Papier-Mâché Elephant Head from Restoration Hardware Baby....

I also added a touch of  DIY!! I made flash cards that looked like they came from Restoration Hardware Baby to the side of the Elephant head. I simply created the flashcards on my computer, had them printed at Costco and framed them with IKEA frames. I also made a reclaimed wood sign with the saying "Never Grow UP".

Here is another look at the finished space...

I had a wonderful time creating the perfect nursery for my client. I'd love to help you create your perfect space too. If your interested in my services, Contact me at westcreekdesign@gmail.com

(Elephant themed) Grey and White Nursery continued...

My inspiration for the nursery started with this Papier-Mâché Elephant Head from Restoration Hardware Baby. It goes right along with the Grey and White theme of the nursery.  I love that this is something that can grow with this child, and doesn't scream BABY!! I included this picture on one of the design boards for my client, and she loved it right away.

Once we had a theme and a color scheme, I wanted to start with grounding the space with a large area rug. After looking at the design boards, my client really liked the graphic designed rugs. I  found a few great choices for her to choose from.

She chose the first one, (YAY I loved the stripes).

Next we looked at curtains. Here were the choices.

She ended up going with the first choice, the grey and white stripe with the polka dots. I was a little nervous ordering from this company, because I hadn't had any previous experience with them. The company is called Carousel Designs.  They make darling custom nursery bedding and accessories. I first ordered a swatch of the curtain fabric to make sure the colors were what we wanted. They were perfect, so we went for it. They do take a bit longer to ship because everything is made to order, but I was pleasantly surprised with the quality.

Next came the glorious bedding.  I offered my client a couple of choices, but once I found the Taylor Bedding set that featured cute little elephants in white and grey, I knew we'd struck gold, she thought so too!! Seriously could this be any more perfect?

On Friday I'll show you how we brought the nursery together and add color to this grey and white color scheme with a few key accessories and all also reveal the completed space.

Grey and White Nursery

Nothing gets you more excited for a new little one to arrive than a darling nursery.  Over the past few months I've been working on a delightful baby boy nursery for a client. The room was pretty much a blank slate, except for a white and grey chevron focal wall. The client also wanted to use her existing crib and changing table. Her only request was to use grey and white as the main nursery colors. She wanted the nursery to have a very calm, serene, & soothing feel. Here are a couple of idea boards that I started with.....

DIY Entry Console Table

I love the rustic designs of Pottery Barn and Restoration Hardware furniture. What I don't love is the price. That is where I turn to Ana White, and Shanty 2 Chic. Their ability to recreate these pieces for a reasonable price is a amazing. The free plans they offer are very detailed in the building, the price, and tools you need.

A while back I decided to redo my entryway. I need a very specific sized console table, and loved the look of Shanty 2 Chic's farmhouse table and bench plans.  I decided to take the bench plans and customize it to make my console table.
The look I wanted with my console table, needed customized plans.  I wanted a table that only had two pedestals, instead of the triple pedestals like the bench, and it also obviously needed to be a little taller. Ana White plans list each of the individual wood cuts you need to make. In this case, looking at her plans, I found out the height of each leg and extended the wood cuts to the height I wanted. I also eliminated one of the legs, so I would only be building my console table with two. Other than changing those parts of the table, I followed the instructions to a T.

Next came the length of the console.  I shortened the middle beam cut, and then also the wood cuts that make the top of the table to the length I needed.

Finally, I finished the table with  "Old Master" gel stain in dark walnut ( I purchased this at Kwal Paints).

By simply changing these cuts I was able to take their darling triple pedestal bench and turn it into a amazing, rustic, chunky, Pottery Barn/ Restoration Hardware looking table. Be sure to check out both Shanty 2 Chic, and Ana White's site for fantastic DIY furniture plans.
